Icejet, the private jet operator which is part of the Nordic Partners Investment Group, wishes to reassure its clients that it is not affected by the financial crisis currently engulfing its country‘s economy.

Since the beginning of this year, over 80% of Icejet‘s Dornier 328 jet charter business has been concentrated in the UK and Europe, with the majority of its revenues earned in Sterling and Euros. As a result, it has been far less affected by the decline of the Icelandic Krona.

“The foundation of Icejet, our private jet company and sister company IceFBO, which provides fixed based operations (FBO) at Reykjavik is strong and will remain strong,“ said Managing Director Jon Ingi Jonsson. Icejet is a part of a group of companies owned by Nordic Partners Investment Group, whose investments embrace hotels, real estate, food production, aviation and retail, widely across Europe.

Reykjavik-based Icejet currently has two of its four Dornier 328 Jets, configured in 14-seat VIP layout, positioned out of London Southend Airport in South East UK. They are available for charter 24/7. Furthermore, Icejet is the only Dornier 328 jet operator in the world permitted to fly into London City Airport.

Two further 14-seat jets and one Dornier 328, in 19-seat corporate shuttle layout, are based at Reykjavik. Currently undergoing a yearly maintenance check, the 19-seater will return to service from the middle of November.

Icejet is currently looking into new bases for one or two more of its existing fleet and recently opened dialogue with several interested parties. “Demand for our high spec and spacious 328 Jets is strong and we are actively pursuing a couple of new bases,“ added Jonsson. (One of its 328 jets is fitted with long range fuel tanks, giving a 2,000 nm range, enabling such sectors as London-Moscow).

Icejet has appointed Emerald Media, the established specialist aviation PR agency, based in Hampshire, UK, with offices in Spain and Germany, to handle its external public relations. Emerald has a number of clients in the business aviation sector, including ExecuJet Aviation Group and PremiAir.

Icejet provides private charter services to corporates, travel management companies, charter brokers, high net worth individuals and VIPs.
