Kelly Murphy heads Emerald Media in the USA, where the group produces newsletters and magazines for aviation industry clients. Kelly's aviation journalism career was launched in 1985 as Associate Editor for Professional Pilot magazine, and a year later she was promoted to Managing Editor. In 1987, Kelly joined Commuter Regional Airline News (USA), as Editor, joining Alison Chambers in 1993 to establish Emerald Media's US office. A long-time supporter of general aviation, Kelly is a private pilot and part-owner of a family aerial photography business based in Culpeper, Virginia. Kelly heads Emerald Media's editorial ventures, overseeing customer magazines for long-standing client Saab Aerospace. She is also editor of the US Regional Airline Association's bi-monthly newsletter, Regional Horizons, and the RAA Annual Report. Other clients have included: BAE Systems, BACK Aviation, Regional Air Service Initiative, Seaplane Pilots Association and Small Community Airport Association.
